Report: Generator Has Commenced Sale Process For Residential Retail Supply Book
May 16,2017 A transcript, which has since been removed, initially posted on the website SeekingAlpha.com of a recent Talen Energy investor update averred that Talen Energy executives had said during the update that the company has commenced a sale process for the company's residential retail energy supply business. RetailEnergyX.com cannot confirm the veracity of any of the information previously included in the transcript that was posted on SeekingAlpha.com. A Talen Energy media representative said that the content on Seeking Alpha should not have been posted and has been removed from their page. After completion of the Riverstone transaction, Talen Energy is a privately held company. As such, it makes certain investor information available only to current and prospective debt investors. The transcript that had been posted on SeekingAlpha.com averred that Talen executives stated the company had commenced a sale process for its residential retail power portfolio. The SeekingAlpha.com transcript averred that executives had stated that Talen is retaining its large C&I retail business A Talen Energy media representative provided the following statement when asked about any potential sale of the residential retail business: "As we’ve previously discussed, we are reviewing every aspect of our business but have not announced any sale of a particular business. We will keep our customers and public notified as soon as there is something to report."
